Temporary Protected Status revocations

TPS designations for multiple countries (Venezuela, Haiti, others) have been terminated or are scheduled to terminate, exposing hundreds of thousands of long-term US residents to removal.

This action is underway. The work is to slow, redirect, or stop it.

DHS has moved through 2025 to let existing TPS designations expire or to terminate them ahead of schedule. Litigation has paused some terminations; others have proceeded. Reversal requires DHS re-designation under the statute, which is within executive discretion.
