Federal DEI programs terminated

Federal DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) offices, programs, and employee resource groups were ordered terminated across all federal agencies. Associated staff positions were eliminated or reassigned.

This action has been completed. The work now is reversal.

Detail

A Day-One EO ordered agencies to close DEI offices, place relevant staff on paid leave pending termination or reassignment, and cease any affirmative-action–adjacent hiring practices. Private-sector compliance programs were also put on notice regarding DOJ civil-rights enforcement priorities. Reversal requires rescinding the EO and rebuilding the staff and programs that were dismantled.
