DOJ Civil Rights Division investigations halted
DOJ Civil Rights Division pattern-or-practice investigations were halted, existing consent decrees placed under review, and enforcement priorities redirected toward perceived anti-Christian and anti-white discrimination.
This action has been completed. The work now is reversal.
Detail
The Civil Rights Division's police-misconduct and voting-rights investigations were paused or closed in Q1 2025. Several ongoing consent decrees governing municipal police departments were placed under review for possible rescission. Reversal requires new leadership willing to reopen investigations and defend existing decrees.
